Inside the Classrooms, Outside of Williams: Secondary School Experiences in Developing Countries

Meet Edna, a 15 year old student from the Orkeeswa School, a secondary school located in the under-served region of Maasai in the Monduli Hills of northern OrkeeswaTanzania. The Orkeeswa school represents the only opportunity for the community’s students to continue education past the primary
level. Currently, Edna attends the St. Mark’s School in Massachusetts. Edna’s educational experience, diverging widely from that of most Williams students, will allow students to recognize the educational inequality prevalent in the today’s global society and put their own educational backgrounds into perspective. CDE students will also speak about their educational experiences. Sponsored  by Circle of Women.
