Dining on Claiming Williams Day 2017

The Claiming Williams Steering Committee would like to thank the Dining Services Staff, and the students and staff of Williams College for their incredible thoughtfulness regarding meals on Claiming Williams Day. Along with providing opportunities to talk about the role of food in our community, Claiming Williams Day strives to include Dining Services staff in the day’s conversations.

Therefore food service has been changed to free Dining Staff to participate in sessions. Meals are free of charge to the campus community. No need to swipe cards or register. Just come participate!

Continental breakfast will be available in from 8:00-10:00 in Paresky and for usual hours in the regular dining halls. Hot and hearty lunches will be served in the usual dining halls (Mission, Driscoll, and Paresky) from 12:00-2:00 pm and can be picked up to-go for those on the run.

In addition, lunch will be available in the Faculty House for participants joining the lunchtime dialogues scheduled there. Dinner will feature a few dishes served throughout the campus, again with the goal of freeing up staff to participate in the day.

The dishes will be international in flavor with gluten-free, halal, vegan, vegetarian, and meat dishes offered. Venues will be the same as lunch. Hot coffee will be available throughout the day in Paresky. Lee Snack Bar, ’82 Grill, Grab ‘n Go, Eco Cafe are all closed for the day. Finally, cookies, ice cream novelties, cocoa, and pizza delivered by local vendors will be available at Paresky starting at 9:30 pm, following the evening sessions.

There will be no late night food service on campus. Join us in thanking our Dining Staff for their service and welcoming them as they participate in Claiming Williams Day. Claiming Williams events are intended for the campus community.
