Act with us now!

Act with us now! This Claiming Williams Day come engage with a panel of community activists hosted by Converging Worlds as they discuss how they put theory to practice with their community programming and how you can do the same! Learn about different local volunteer and community action opportunities, about what makes community programming revolutionary, and about our organizers’ experiences creating their community programs. Panelists include alumna who have created local community programs, community based organizers and activists (representatives from the Pittsfield NAACP, the State Treasurer’s Office of Economic Empowerment, and local juvenile justice and empowerment groups), and current Williams students working on these issues. Following the panel there will be a question and answer segment where students can brainstorm how they can get involved and what next steps are in Western Massachusetts community programming. Free breakfast provided!
