When building a class, the Admission Office seeks students who demonstrate a willingness to reach across difference, spark conversations, and ultimately build bridges across diverse groups. These bridges are crucial to the strength and vitality of our community. Members of our staff will share what it means to be a bridge builder and then facilitate a reflection and discussion on the ways that workshop attendees have displayed bridge builder qualities and can continue to do so moving forward.
We hope that this session will illuminate some of the ways our students have, and continue to make, a profound impact on their varied communities. Our goal is to have participants reflect on the ways that they actively “stand together” by creating common ground across the multiplicities of their identities.
