Does anyone believe Williams is perfect as it is? Each of us has something big or small we’d like to see change here. Yet most of those changes will never come about. Why? How can we get better at making Williams better? When are symbolic protests effective, and when do we need to turn to other strategies? Come develop ideas for a possible 2019 Winter Study called “How to Protest the College”: a space where participants will learn from fellow faculty, staff, alumni and students who’ve succeeded in changing Williams for the better… or learned valuable lessons from their failures. Our goal is to brainstorm ideas for a Winter Study where people can learn to work effectively toward lasting, positive change in our community.
