Socioeconomic Inequality at Williams

How is wealth visible (or invisible) on campus? In what ways does inequality impact daily life at Williams? Does inequality necessitate tension? Can mutual understanding help foster a more inclusive community for all? This workshop will begin with a brief presentation on socioeconomic inequality at Williams, which will be followed by a panel of students from diverse backgrounds sharing their particular experiences, as well as a wider facilitated discussion. The project is a joint effort between Davis Center Community Builders and a group of students who have researched how socioeconomic status is represented on campus.

2 – 3:30 p.m., Paresky 201 (formerly Reading Room). Sponsored by the Davis Center Community Builders and SES @Williams working group.
