The Williams community often celebrates history, whether it is the history of the College or the history of the US and its peoples. Still, there are many more stories to be heard. During this activity, members of the international community will share a moment from their histories, explain how that event shaped their cultures, and how it may affect their environments even today, as well as how they relate to these stories. By learning about and understanding the environments some members of the International community come from, we hope the campus at large will understand the extreme difficulty of leaving one’s country behind and of trying to adjust to life in the US.
Sponsored by the International Student Association.
