Take a Stance & Push Past Your Comfort: A Faculty Workshop for Anti-Racism in STEM+

Racism in STEM+ must be confronted directly. Identifying and rectifying the systemic issues arising in the scientific community is of utmost importance in creating a scientific community that allows for everyone to have a sense of belonging in these vital subjects. In this workshop we will be examining how the ways in which we typically operate as professionals may be damaging in ways we don’t realize and how to begin the process of interrupting these dangerous patterns, reaching a new level of professionalism and creating a more inclusive STEM+ environment for our students.

9:15-10:45 a.m. (For faculty only, pre-registration required.)
