Stop the US War Machine: What RIMPAC is and Why You Should Care

In collaboration between Nihonjin American Student Union (NASU) and Koreans of Williams (KoW) this workshop seeks to address America’s globalized prison camp that traps us in nuclear war games, environmental degradation, gendered violence, and endless land theft in ways that threaten our collective future. Through unpacking the movement to cancel RIMPAC, an international military exercise between 22 US-allied countries that occurs in Hawai’i in rehearsal for future nuclear war games and genocides against the global south, and in confronting the ongoing militarization and neocolonization of South Korea and Japan, we will ferment a vision for our braided liberation.

12:30 – 2:00 PM in Bronfman Auditorium, co-sponsored by Nihonjin American Student Union (NASU) and Koreans of Williams (KoW).
