For Claiming Williams 2023, Women in Political Science will be hosting a panel for 6 woman-identifying professors to share their experiences with institutional racism and sexism at Williams, and in other white male dominated spaces. In the first half of the event we will discuss challenges and strategies for addressing racism and sexism in the classroom, as well as on the administrative level. In the second half, we will take questions/comments from the audience, as well as read questions sent in anonymously beforehand. We hope to have fruitful conversation about the ways racism and sexism prove themselves integral to the functioning of institutions, and discuss ways to combat these forces. All are welcome!
