In this workshop, we will interrogate our understanding of institutionalized oppression and its relationship to our personal and professional lives. This workshop is intended to be the first of three interactive sessions, utilizing Barbara Loves’ framework for Developing Liberatory Consciousness. The success of the workshop is contingent on participants’ active engagement.
This workshop will be led by Michael Obasohan, Chief Diversity Officer, City of Pittsfield and North Adams City Councilor; André Lynch, DEI Director at BART Charter Public School; and Dr. Kerri Leyda Nicoll, Associate Professor of Social Work at MCLA.
