Reclaiming Institutional Memory: Revisiting BIPOC Activism on Campus

The goal of this event is brainstorm ideas to maintain the institutional memory of activism on campus. Many students report a lack of knowledge of minority activist initiatives that took place at Williams. This is because often when a class of minority students graduate they take a wealth of institutional memory, knowledge about how to navigate higher education as minority students, with them that would be helpful for current students. This event seeks to spur students in consciousness raising activities that will close the knowledge gap between minority alum and current minority students. More specifically, we hope to use this space as a means of raising awareness about ongoing projects and coming up with new multimedia projects that highlight notable activist initiatives within each MinCo group.

2-3:30 PM in Wachenheim 113. Presented by the MinCo Steering Board.
